Mechanical Infrared Inspections

Equipment keeps industry going but if components such as pumps, lines, and motors are on the brink of malfunction, the industrial process can come to an abrupt halt.

This situation can be avoided by having a proactive and preventive maintence schedule in place.  Carolina Infrared Resources can help you discover many of your mechanical malfunctions BEFORE they result in crucical downtime.

Each mechanical infrared inspection includes the thermograms and a survey report that not only identifies “hot spots,” but provides a blueprint from conducting repairs in a timely and cost effective manner.

Infrared Shows Missing Liner

The above picture is a wood-fired boiler. It makes steam for use in the manufacturing process. The thermogram shows where the refractory (inside boiler lining) is missing or not stopping the heat from burning through the side of the boiler. If this boiler goes down, the plant will go down. This image can be used to schedule a planned outage of boiler for repairs.
